Muscat: Instant messaging platform WhatsApp experienced an outage that left users around the world, including Oman, unable to send or receive messages on the app.
While there has been no official word yet from Facebook Inc. that owns WhatsApp, users around the world had taken to Twitter and Facebook to vent their frustration at not being able to get in touch with friends and family on the app. “WhatsApp is down or is it just mine?” tweeted a twitter user from Muscat.
