10 expats in Oman arrested for flouting labour, residency laws

Muscat: 10 expats have been arrested in Buraimi for violating labour and residency laws, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said.

In online statement, ROP said, “Buriami Police Command arrested 10 illegal workforce of different nationalities, including infiltrators, for violating the labour and residency laws in Buraimi.”

It added, “Legal actions are being taken against them.”

Meanwhile, two expats were arrested for giving shelter for four infiltrators.

“The North Batinah Police Command arrested two expatriates for sheltering and assisting four infiltrators to facilitate their passage to the Buraimi Governorate,” added the police.
