Rouhani says Iran will break U.S sanctions

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani says the country will break sanctions re-imposed by America on its energy and banking sectors.

The United States will temporarily allow eight importers to continue buying Iranian oil when sanctions are enforced on Monday, November 5.

The imposition of sanctions is part of President Donald Trump's wider attempt to force Iran's hand on its nuclear and missile programs.

In May, Trump exited Iran's 2015 nuclear deal, leading Washington to re-impose a first round of sanctions on Iran in August.
