Smuggling boats seized, nine expats arrested by Oman's coast guard

Muscat: Royal Oman Police seized two smuggling boats in the governorates of Seeb and Dibba, with the coast guard arresting nine expats who were on board the vessels.

An official statement from Royal Oman Polic said: "The Coast Guard police seized a smuggler's boat in the state of Seeb with nine people of Asian nationality, and seized another boat smuggling alcoholic beverages in the state of Dibba. Legal action has been taking against them."

In another case, the Coast Guard provided assistance to 14 people of various nationalities whose boats broke down, in Seeb, Sur, and Khasab. The boats were towed to the nearby ports.
