Muscat: Oman's Fatma Al Nabhani experienced a mixed day at the $10,000 Casablanca ITF Pro Circuit tournament in Morocco.
Fatma Al Nabhani, the top seed in this tournament, was upset in the quarterfinals of the singles, while in combination with her Spanish partner Olga Parres Azcoita, she reached the doubles final.
In the singles quarterfinals Oman's Fatma went down to fifth seed Cristina Adamescu of Romania 3-6, 5-7.
Earlier, she had overcame an early resistance from Russia’s Ksenia Kuznetsova for a 7-6 (3), 6-4 victory and a place in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, in the doubles, Fatma and Olga sailed into the final beating third seeds Cristina Adamescu (Romania) and Mariana Drazic (Croatia) 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinals.
In the quarterfinals, Fatma and Olga had eased to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Anne Sophie Forget of France and Sara Lanca of Portugal.
In the final, Fatma and Olga will now take on top seeded Romanian pair of Diana Negreanu and Oana Gerorgeta Simion 6-3, 6-4.
