6.1 magnitude earthquake recorded in Gulf of Aden

Muscat: An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 was monitored in the Gulf of Aden on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

The Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said in a statement that an earthquake in the Gulf of Aden was recorded at 11.17 AM MCT, at a depth of 10 KM. The earthquake was recorded 802 KM away from Salalah.
