5.7 magnitude earthquake recorded in Gulf of Aden

Muscat: A 5.7 magnitude earthquake was monitored in the Gulf of Aden on Friday, May 19,2023.

Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said in a statement :" An earthquake in the Gulf of Aden was recorded at 7.15 pm MCT and at a depth of 0 km. The earthquake was about 707 km southwest of the city of Salalah in Dhofar Governorate."
