Earthquake with magnitude 5.7 recorded in Gulf of Aden

Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in the Gulf of Aden on Monday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), at the Sultan Qaboos University.

 A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in the Gulf of Aden has been recorded with a magnitude of 5.7, at 6:44 am MCT and at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake was recorded 751 km away from Salalah ."
