Muscat: Police have thwarted the smuggling attempt of 12 violators of the labour and residence law.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said: "Coast Guard police boats seized an Asian boat off the shores of North Al Batinah Governorate while its crew, consisting of two expats, attempted to smuggle 12, in violation of the labour and residence laws out of Oman. Legal procedures are being completed against them."
