ROP arrests four for smuggling drugs into Oman

Muscat: Four Arab nationalities have been arrested on charges of smuggling Qat in the Dhofar Governorate.

Royal Oman Police said: "Coast Guard police boats in the Governorate of Dhofar, in partnership with the Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in the governorate, thwart the smuggling of the drug ‘khat’ by four Arab citizens on board a smuggling boat that was seized off the coast of Mirbat. The case is now under process."
