The Wilayat of Al Rustaq in South Al Batinah Governorate is famous for its forts and castles, including Al Mansour Castle, one of the deep-rooted landmarks and a masterpiece in architecture. It was built by Imam Ahmed bin Said Al Busaidi in Shaban 1204 AH.

Al Mansour Castle consists of three floors and the ground floor has several rooms and stores for keeping dates and weapons and a water well. The second floor comprises six rooms and the third floor has one room. The castle has two towers one at the eastern side and the other at the western side of the castle. The castle has received the attention and care of the wise government as it was renovated. It was built of mountain gravel with wooden roofs.

The area surrounding the castle has a number of towers built at high-level ground and were used for control of the area and for protection of its inhabitants.
