Some institutions in Oman referred to public prosecution for violations

Muscat: Some institutions in the Sultanate have been referred to Public Prosecution for not adhering to the decisions of the Supreme Committee, the General Federation of Oman Workers stated.

In a statement, the Federation said, "278 settlement violations and work agreements in which the General Federation participated through work teams in the governorates, which are tasked with following up and considering the decisions of the national workforce who ended their services during the period from 18 to 22 October 2020."

According to the data shared by the Federation, in the period from 18th to 22th October , one report of violation was monitored, and the total number of reports reached 389. Violations included cuts from wages, non-payment of salaries, forcing workers to leave for leave without pay, a threat to terminate service, cutting the quarantine period from the annual leave and not committing to reducing the number of workers at work sites.
