As rains are expected over Muscat as well, the Muscat Municipality has issued a warning to residents online. "Muscat Municipality calls on citizens and residents to stay away from pools of water accumulated around lighting poles and electrical complexes nearby.”

The Municipality also pointed out the danger of tampering with electric wires during the rains, asking people not to approach deep excavations made for the implementation of some projects, which are close the lighting poles. "For your safety, stay away from water bodies, electrical complexes and lighting poles," the Muscat Call Center also warned.
