Muscat: Technology leaders from Europe and the United States will be among the 500 attendees who will share their experiences at the Oman e-Commerce Conference, which begins on Monday.
The conference is being organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, under the patronage of HE Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Mahrezi, Minister of Tourism on Monday, September 16, 2019. The conference will host over 500 attendees from all over the world.
In addition, more than 20 government agencies, 50 speakers, 50 exhibitors and 10 workshops, will participate in the two-day event at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.
The conference aims to enable e-commerce specialists to communicate and exchange information and learn the best practices for secure e-transactions to accelerate the first digital strategy in the workplace. It also aims to bring together concerned agencies and key stakeholders from the digital ecosystem to improve coordination and alignment of various digitisation efforts through e-commerce initiatives and teamwork for a sustainable economy.
The conference will also provide participants with thought-provoking topics about e-commerce through exclusive sessions presented by digital technology leaders from Europe and the USA.
The Oman e-Commerce Conference 2019 will also discuss the reality of e-commerce and the real growth of digital commerce in the world to demonstrate the importance of digital transformation in business and find solutions to overcome the current challenges of retail and sustainability.
It will also focus on how to harness and realize the untapped potential of using digital commerce as a key pillar of the strategy to manage their business interests and achieve their goals. The conference will discuss the most effective options for the ease of online business, attracting investments to the region and presenting Oman as a large and promising investment destination in the field of e-commerce.
E-commerce will also provide an opportunity for SMEs to market their products locally and globally through the utilisation of information technology.
