Muscat: Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs said in a joint press conference with the Russian Foreign Minister in Moscow that the Sultanate supports a two-state solution to settle the Palestine issue.
According to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Alawi said, “There is no normalization with Israel and we [the Sultanate] continue to support the Palestinian side to establish its state."
“We appreciate the Russian role in solving the Syrian crisis and restoring it to its place,” said Alawi.
He added that: “Syria is a founding member of the Arab League and its return is necessary despite the fact that its members have not yet agreed.”
Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister said: “Russia and the Sultanate have supported dialogue between the conflicting Yemeni parties and call for a cessation of violence and continued negotiations.”
