10 arrested on charges of drug possession

A total of 10 people have been arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of narcotics in the Al Dakhiliyah governorate.

The accused were arrested in the Wilayats of Nizwa, Samail and Bidbid, where morphine anesthetic was found by police officials.

"The Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, led by the police of the Al Dakhiliyah governorate, arrested 10 people in the Wilayats of Nizwa, Samail and Bidbid on charges of abuse and possession of narcotic drugs. Police seized a quantity of morphine anesthetic." Royal Oman Police

ROP added that legal proceedings have been taken against the accused and they have been referred to judicial authorities for further investigation.
