Bridge reopens in Muscat

Muscat: Wadi Al Sreen Bridge in Amerat is now open to traffic, Muscat Municipality announced on Saturday.

The bridge, located on Al-Qura street, was under renovation having been partially affected by weather over the last few years.

Engineer Altayeb Al Harthy, Director of the Technical Studies Department, explained that the maintenance procedures included technical work, such as repairing and strengthening the soil under the bridge foundations after holes filled with water were discovered.

Muscat Municipality had earlier announced the closure of the bridge and the transfer of traffic, so for maintenance work to be carried out as a result of weather damaging the bridge.
