30 students win big at Oman Skills competition

Muscat: A total of 30 Omani students were awarded for podium finishes in each category of category of the Oman Skills competition.

Oman Skills is the localised version of the global World Skills initiative, which is held every two years to promote the benefits of and need for skilled professionals through grass-roots community projects, skill competitions, and knowledge exchange. The winners of today's event will go on to the regional Gulf Skills tournament in Kuwait, before taking on contestants from around the world next year in the World Skills Competition in Kazan, Russia

The winning students were among 137 who participated, representing a broad range of colleges and universities from across the Sultanate. They were tested on their knowledge of 10 different skills, including electronics, mechanical engineering, and robotics.
