State Council Chairman Czech PM review bilateral ties

Prague: Oman and Czech Republic discussed the means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in diverse fields on Wednesday.
Andrej Babis, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic received Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council within the framework of his current visit to the Czech Republic.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Czech Prime Minister welcomed Dr. Al Mantheri and his accompanying delegation.
He aspired that this visit would contribute in strengthening the existing good relations between the Czech Republic and the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to expanding fields of cooperation between them.
On his turn, the Chairman of the State Council affirmed the Sultanate’s keenness to develop its relations with the Czech Republic, as well as promoting cooperation in all fields.
The two sides reviewed means that ensure enhancing the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
They also exchanged viewpoints on several regional and international issues of common concern.
Dr Mantheri also met Radek Vondracek, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. The two sides discussed developing ties between the two countries, particularly in parliamentary fields.
The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying Dr. Al Mantheri and members of the Czech Chamber of Deputies.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the State Council also met with Ilja Smid, Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic. The two sides discussed enhancing bilateral cultural relations.
The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying Dr. al-Manthri and officials at the Czech Ministry of Culture.
The Chairman of the State Council and his accompanying delegation will conclude his official visit to the Czech Republic on Thursday.
