Muscat: Apollo Tyres, a global tyre producer, on Saturday opened its branded retail outlet in Muscat. Branded as Apollo Zone, this outlet is designed to provide customers with a superior retail experience and a better feel for the brand and the products on display. The Apollo Zone was opened in association with Mohd Asulaimy Auto Parts, a leading wholesaler and retailer of tyres in Oman.
The Apollo Zone was inaugurated by His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said in the presence of senior officials from Apollo Tyres and Mohd Asulaimy Auto Parts.
“Our partnership with Mohd Asulaimy Auto Parts has helped us create a strong customer connect and acknowledgement for our products. Through the Apollo Zone, we would be looking at capitalising on this strong customer connect and also on the growing passenger vehicle segment of Oman,” said Satish Sharma, president, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Apollo Tyres Ltd.
The Apollo Zone will help the company to target the customers in the 80,000 per month passenger car tyre market and 20,000 per month truck bus redial tyre market in the Sultanate.
The Apollo Zones follow a modern up-market retail format for selling tyres – ensuring ample appeal, comfort and convenience to customers and provide an opportunity to learn about the product’s applications and performance before making the final purchase. Thus, the company bridge a gap between tyres being a low involvement category product and the need for expert guidance, to enable customers to buy the right tyres suited to their vehicle, driving style and usage. This is the seventh branded retail outlet by Apollo Tyres in the Middle East region.
