Salalah: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar yesterday opened the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah to coincide with the country’s 46th glorious National Day celebrations.
The Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar unveiled the stone memorial of the project. A presentation was provided on the facilities of Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment and the launching of its logo.
The Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar expressed his deepest congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the occasion of the 46th glorious National Day.
He added that the opening of Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, coincides with the 46th glorious National Day and demonstrates the attention of His Majesty the Sultan for the youth to provide an appropriate environment to optimise the use of their time and energy to engage in various cultural, sports and recreational activities.
It will help youth develop mentally and physically in accordance with their aspirations and ambitions and to create the appropriate environment to discover, refine and develop their various talents, as they are the hope for tomorrow and the makers of the future, he added.
Habib bin Mohammed Al Riyami, Secretary-General of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science delivered a speech on behalf of the centre in which he said that the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah contains many sports, recreational and cultural facilities, in addition to the largest library in the Sultanate, when it is completed, as well as other facilities, especially for both sexes and shared facilities.
