Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, on Wednesday presided over a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of establishment of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI). The ceremony took place at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
During the ceremony, HH Sayyid Theyazin was briefed about OCCI’s history and key achievements over the past 50 years. The briefing was accompanied with illustrations, paintings and video clips.
Then, HH Sayyid Theyazin inaugurated the new OCCI identity, ushering in a new stage of accomplishments and realization of future aspirations, with the prime aim of aligning its objectives with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, HH Sayyid Theyazin conferred with members of OCCI Board of Directors and praised the role of the chamber in representing the private sector and achieving comprehensive development in accordance with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The OCCI members thanked HH Sayyid Theyazin for gracing the occasion and valued his sincere sentiments and commendation.
