MOH, Al Jisr Foundation sign funding agreement

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH), signed on Wednesday August 23, 2023 an agreement with Al Jisr Charitable Foundation at the Ministry's headquarters, to fund the expansion of the Special Care Baby Unit project in Ibra hospital, with a cost of OMR 250,000.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Ajmi, Undersecretary of Health for Administrative, Planning, and Financial Affairs and Nouf Al Hosni from Al Jisr Foundation.

The Undersecretary for Administrative, Planning, and Financial Affairs stressed the importance of the government and other sectors partnership in the Sultanate of Oman in serving the public interest, praising the Foundation’s initiative.

H.E. Dr. Al Ajmi added that the signing of the agreement is part of strategic partnership to achieve a common good for the community, as well as to upgrade public welfare services and developmental projects across the Sultanate of Oman.

Al Hosni highlighted the Foundation’s role towards community in supporting the health sector, and affirmed its commitment to build on the Ministry of Health’s efforts by adopting empowering health projects. Funding the premature babies’ unit in Ibra Hospital is highly important as the project would improve the level of services in the hospital by increasing the capacity of the unit, she noted.
