Muscat: With the aim to meet the needs of residents in regard to medical services, a team from the Ministry of Health (MoH) has visited a number of health institutions to follow up on the quality of health services provided in Musandam Governorate.
Based on the Ministry's interest in health care provided to citizens and to meet their medical needs, Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Bint Muhammad Al-Ajamiya - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Financial Affairs and planning with His Excellency Eng. Badr bin Salem Al Maamari - General secretary of Tender Board visited a number of health institutions in Musandam Governorate to see the progress of work, inspect their needs, in addition to listening to the proposals of those workers' institutions.
The visit included the new Khasab Hospital project to see the completed stages of the project, which is a quantum leap in the specialized health services that serve the Sultanate of Oman in general and the governorate in particular. The new hospital includes a large number of wings and vital departments, which will meet the needs of citizens.
Royal orders to establish the new hospital came in consideration of the population density and geographical dimensions of the governorate, in order to provide and meet the multiple treatment services that patients need, which would reduce the burdens of transporting patients to other governorates, as Khasab Hospital is the reference hospital for Musandam Governorate.
