Muscat: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected along the coastal areas of Dhofar governorate and adjoining mountains, with intermittent drizzle and a chance of isolated rains.
Oman Meteorology said in a weather forecast today: “Advection of high and medium clouds is expected over most of the governorates with chances of cloud development and isolated rain. In addition, occasional thundershowers are expected over parts of Al Hajar Mountains and the adjoining areas towards the afternoon, associated with downdraft wind.”
Low clouds or fog patches are expected along coastal parts overlooking the Sea of Oman (Muscat, North and South Al Batinah and Musandam) and areas overlooking the Arabian Sea (the coasts of the governorates of Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar). There are chances of dust rising over desert and open areas.
