Oman Meteorology asks weather experts to not issue weak indicators

Muscat: Abdullah Al Khadouri, the General Director of Oman Meteorology Directorate said in his official Twitter account, “My colleague weather amateurs, please continue adhering to instructions and to not issue weak indicators and other maps that confuse people, and We thank all those who continue to comply.”

The tweet also mentioned that, "Civil Aviation Authority represented ⁧‫Oman Meteorology Directorate and The National Early Warning Centre is making every effort to deliver the correct information to people. And thanks everyone

He further added that the last update showed:

- The cyclone still in category 1 hurricane

‎- Chances of developing it to class 2 possible

‎- It will move north in the middle of the Arabian Sea, then deviate to Pakistan and northern India as most prominent possibility

‎- There are no direct effects on the Sultanate within 3 days

‎- Continuing alert for wave height
