Muscat: The centre of the Tropical Cyclone- Biparjoy is 1030 km away from the Sultanate of Oman's coast, with wind speed ranging between 64 to 82 knots, said Oman Meteorology on Thursday.
Oman Meteorology said in the weather forecast of today, June 8, 2023, that there is a chance of high clouds advection along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea, and convective clouds development over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining area during the afternoon.
In addition, “There is a chance of low level clouds or fog late night or early morning over parts of coasts of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorate, with chance of dust storms over desert and open areas.”
Oman Meteorology advises people to avoid venturing into the sea and practicing marine activities due to rough sea waves (3-6 meters) on the coasts of the Arabian Sea, starting tomorrow, Friday, 9 June, 2023 and during the next three days.
