Two expats injured in Oman fire

Muscat: Two expatriates were taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a store in Wadi Al Kabir, Muttrah.
According to a statement by the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA): “The authority’s teams were able to control the fire and stop it from spreading to other stores.
A worker at the tea shop next to the vehicle accessories shop where the incident took place, told the Times of Oman, “The fire engulfed the shop on Thursday morning. The fire resulted in substantial damage as it consumed everything in the shop.’
He added, “I witnessed the fire and luckily it was doused in short time. Otherwise, it would spread to the adjacent shops as well.”
