Vehicles stuck in water bodies after rain, CDAA issues warning

Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has urged people in Muscat Governorate to be careful and follow safety instructions during the rainfall as it received a number of reports of vehicles stuck in water bodies and valleys.

"Rescue teams at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Muscat Governorate are dealing with a number of reports of vehicle detention in water bodies and valleys. The authority calls on everyone to take precautions and follow safety instructions during the rain," CDAA said in a statement.

The authority’s operations centre received 30 reports in Muscat Governorate due to the rains. The rescue teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Muscat Governorate dealt with all reports, which resulted in the rescuing of 51 people, without recording injuries.
