Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 980 packages of Khat.
According to ROP, the Department for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substance, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, in cooperation with the Special Task Forces of Salalah, arrested a person while he was trying to smuggle more than 980 packages of Khat using a four-wheel drive vehicle for the purpose of trafficking. The legal procedures are being completed against him.
