Thunderstorms predicted in parts of Oman

Muscat: Thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds are predicted over Al Hajar Mountains and the surrounding areas on Sunday, Oman Meteorology said.

"There are continuing chances of convective clouds formation and thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds on Al Hajar Mountains and the surrounding areas today. It is expected that cloud activity will increase gradually this week on Al Hajar Mountains starting tomorrow," Oman Meteorology said in a statement.
