Muscat: Parts of the sultanate coastline will witness partly cloudy weather with chances of thunderstorms over the Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas.
Oman Metrology said in its weather forecast today: “Chances of formation of convective clouds and scattered rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by active downward winds and hail falling on the Al Hajar Mountains and neighbouring areas during the afternoon and evening. Activity of autumn clouds and drizzle on the coastal strip and the mountains of Dhofar Governorate.”
In addition, the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the coasts of the Arabian Sea will witness the formation of low clouds and fog at the end of the night and early in the morning on Saturday.
Today's sea state and wind forecast is rough (3.5 m) along Arabian Sea coasts and moderate along the rest of the coasts (1.5 m).
