Muscat: The Ministry of Education in cooperation with the organisers of the Ejada project for measuring individual performance at the Ministry of Labour, organised on Monday a training workshop on the application of the electronic system of Ejada.
The workshop targeted the Director-Generals at the Ministry’s main office and the Director-Generals of the Directorate-Generals in the various governorates. The workshop took place at the Scout Musical Band Theatre under the patronage of Majid bin Saeed Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
Dr. Salwa Al-Qasabieh, Director of Implementation of the Individual Performance Measurement System and Institutional Proficiency Project, delivered a speech and said: “This meeting comes in the process of supporting work, with a proficiency system for performance measurement in the stage of actual application. We stress in this regard the importance of your support for your sectors in this transitional stage.”
“The implementation of the Ejada system for measuring performance is one of the capabilities of Oman’s 2040 vision, and that there is an obligation for all sectors to deal and work according to this system, which requires us to join efforts and provide support towards improving the construction of individual plans for the employees of the Ministry of Education, in order to contribute to raising the general level of proficiency of the institution.”
Specialists from the Ministry of Labour presented a paper titled “Preparation of functional plans, objectives and main results using the OKRs methodology” in which they discussed the methodology of objectives and key results (OKRs), and the process of listing objectives and projecting them onto administrative divisions.
It also discussed administrative objectives, sources, types and method of formulation, main results, types and method of identification, with examples and models. At the end of the workshop, attendees were given the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about what was raised in the paper.
