Muscat : A group of fishermen were arrested for catching lobster illegally in Dhofar Governorate.
"The fisheries control team in the Governorate of Dhofar seized a group of fishermen on a fishing boat in the fishing port in the Wilayat of Taqa, in possession of a quantity of lobster that was caught illegally outside the specified season," the Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate said in a statement.
The lobster fishing season in the Sultanate of Oman starts from March 1 to May 31 of each year.
