Earthquake recorded in Arabian Gulf

Muscat: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 was recorded in the Arabian Gulf on Sunday, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said.

A statement issued online by EMC said: "An earthquake in the Arabian Gulf with a magnitude of 4.5, at 8.25 am MCT and at a depth of 21 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 655 km away from Khasab."
