Oman's CPA Chairman conducts field visit of commercial centres

Muscat: The Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has conducted a field visit to a number of commercial centres in Al Buraimi Governorate.

CPA said in a statement that His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali Al Hakmani, Chairman of Consumer Protection Authority, visited Al Buraimi Governorate, as part of his continuous field visits to the governorates to follow up the workflow and review the efforts made by the Authority’s cadres in its various directorates and departments.

As part of his visit, His Excellency inspected a number of commercial centres in the governorate to determine their status and to ensure the availability of various commodities, especially price stability, and the extent of suppliers’ commitment to implementing the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations and the decisions issued by the authority

This visit comes as part of a series of field visits carried out by the Chairman of the Authority to various governorates in the Sultanate of Oman to follow up on all the efforts made by the Authority's cadres in following up and monitoring the markets to preserve consumer rights.
