Muscat: With a cost of more than OMR 64,000, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Nizwa will finance 12 research projects.
"With a total amount of OMR 64,831, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Nizwa obtained the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation to finance 12 research projects for research programmes funded for academics and student research," the university said.
Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Shahri, Dean of the College, confirmed that the funding obtained by the university will provide nine research papers for academics with an amount of OMR 62,581 and three researches for students with an amount of OMR 2,250 , where 16 researches were submitted to the academics programme, and three researches for students.
Dr. Abdullah bin Humaid Al Abri, Chairman of the Research and Consultation Committee, indicated that participation in such research contributes to the development of research skills of academics by working with experienced people and benefiting from their expertise and experience in scientific research. As for students, this research has a long-term impact by enhancing students' competitive abilities to obtain study opportunities in graduate studies, as well as enhancing future employment opportunities.
