MUSCAT: GUtech and Salam Air signed an agreement to start a long-term collaboration that will be mutually beneficial for both parties.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Hussain Al Salmi, Acting Rector of GUtech, and Captain Ahmed Al Shidhani Director of Operations of Salam Air.
Under the agreement, GUtech will provide training courses and host activities for Salam Air while Salam Air will offer internships and recruitment for GUtech’s qualified graduates who meet the requirements set out by the airline.
Dr. Hussain Al Salmi, said, “The signing of this document, once again, proves the high level of trust between the two organizations. We are delighted to start these new relations with Salam Air as we continue our commitment to cooperate closely with different local corporations”.
Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of Salam Air, commented, “This is a great initiative taken by both GUtech and our team at Salam Air Training Department. We are confident that this initiation will be widely beneficial for our country’s youth and graduates to further their training and readiness to enter the job market”.
The communication between the parties for coordinating the activities is commended to the Training Unit of the German University of Technology in Oman and, the Training Department of Salam Air. This agreement will provide Salam Air staff with the facility to complete their mandatory training by GUtech. GUtech will provide an in-house training facility to Salam Air candidates in good practices. Moreover, the Salam Air staff will benefit from a special fee structure, scholarships, and discounts for Salam Air staff and their family members who are willing to study at GUtech.
