Yemen crisis: US Secretary of State lauds Oman
The US Secretary of State expressed his country's appreciation for Oman's positive role during the Yemen crisis.

Muscat: The US Secretary of State expresses his country's appreciation for the positive role of the Sultanate in facilitating a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Yemen.

The Oman News Agency said: "His Excellency Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, expresses his country's high appreciation for the positive role of the Sultanate, led by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, for its efforts to facilitate a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Yemen."

This came during the joint consultative ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the United States on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York.

His Excellency Dr Muhammad bin Awad Al Hassan, the Sultanate’s permanent representative to the United Nations in New York, said before the joint ministerial meeting that these efforts will continue to help Yemen and restore security and stability.
