USA lauds Oman's efforts towards Yemen crisis resolution

Muscat: The United States of America (USA) has appreciated Oman's efforts towards resolving the crisis in Yemen.

"Oman, under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, played a pivotal role in bringing all parties involved to the table to reach a peaceful solution by means of dialogue," Oman News Agency added in a statement. 

US Special Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking also said during Monday evening's telephone press briefing, in which the agency participated, that Oman has been keen to resolve the crisis.

Lenderking said that the USA is working with the United Nations and prominent regional countries such as Oman and Saudi Arabia to find tangible solutions. He was especially appreciative of the countries' support of the ceasefire decision.
