Muscat: The Department of Blood Bank Services (DBBS), has made an urgent appeal to donate blood at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar due to the shortage in blood stock levels.
"Due to the sharp decline in blood stock levels during this period, the Department of Blood Bank Services appeals to everyone to take the initiative to donate blood. We stress the need to continue blood donations in the next week to ensure the availability of blood to the conditions it needs," DBBS said in a statement.
DBBS added that Blood donation times at Central Blood Bank in Baushar are, from Saturday to Thursday between 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm. The Central Blood Bank will be closed on July 20, 2021(Eid Al Adha).
