Urgent appeal for blood donation in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Bank Services (DBBS), has made an urgent appeal to donate blood.

DBBS said in a statement: "The Central Blood Bank in Baushar suffers from a sharp shortage in blood supply. We call on everyone to hasten to donate blood."

"We also call on groups that used to organise campaigns to donate blood previously to take the initiative to organise these campaigns according to the precautionary measures followed. Book an appointment to donate blood at Central Blood Bank in Baushar by calling 24591255 or sending a WhatsApp message to 94555648," the statement added.

To book an appointment for blood donation through the WhatsApp application, please send the following information:

 1. Full name with the Family name.

 2. Civil ID.

 3. Type of donation (blood donation / donation of platelets / donation of plasma)

 4. The appropriate day and time for you.

The appointment will be confirmed via WhatsApp or via SMS.
