Muscat: The release of more than 700 people, jailed for insolvency, has been secured by the Fak Kurbah initiative so far this year.
A statement issued online by Fak Kurbah said: " In light of the economic, health and social conditions, we were able to release 749 insolvent persons, during the eighth edition of Fak Kurbah for the year 2021. 226 people of them were in Muscat Governorate, 151 in North Al Batinah Governorate, 85 in South Al Batinah Governorate and 70 in Al Buraimi Governorate."
"In the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, 56 insolvent persons was released by Fak Kurbah initiatives, 48 in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, 39 in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, 23 in Dhofar Governorate, 34 persons in Al Dhahirah Governorate, eight in Musandam Governorate and nine in Al Wusta Governorate," a statement by the initiative added.
