Six reports of workers' rights violation registered in Oman

Muscat: The General Federation of Oman Workers (GFoW), has registered six reports of workers' rights violation during the period from June 27 to July 1, 2021.

According to the federation, reports included violations like deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, deduction of leaves during quarantine periods and notifications of termination of service.

"There are a total of 15 settlement records and collective work agreements, through meetings of work teams in the governorates. Officials are assigned to follow up and review work forces who terminated their services, during the period from June 27, to July 1, 2021," the statement added.
