5 reports of workers' rights violations registered in Oman

Muscat: Five reports of workers' rights violations have been registered by the General Federation of Oman Workers (GFoW), in May, 2021.

According to the federation, reports included violations like deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, deduction of leaves during quarantine periods and notifications of termination of service.

"There are a total of 18 settlement records and collective work agreements, through meetings of work teams in the governorates. Officials are assigned to follow up and review work forces who terminated their services, during the period from May 9, to May 27, 2021," the statement added.
