Oman likely to get 6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines
The Health Ministry said that total lockdown is the last decision a state might resort to

Muscat: The Minister of Health said on Thursday that they are hoping to receive at least six million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in order to vaccinate all targeted categories in the Sultanate.

Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health said: "Supreme Committee’s decisions are thoroughly studied and take into account the social, health and economic dimensions."

"Since the second half of the last year, the Sultanate started communicating with vaccine manufacturers and was among the first countries to join COVAX, yet unfortunately the vaccines were delayed but never interrupted. The total lockdown is the last decision a state might resort to," the Minister of Health added.
