People with special needs to get COVID-19 vaccine at home
In Muscat, Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre has been set up as a centre for COVID-19 vaccination

Muscat: An at-home vaccination service will be introduced for people with special needs and the details of this will be unveiled soon, Acting Director General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate said.

Dr Thamra Bint Said Al Ghafriyah, Acting Director General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate said: "In the Governorate of Muscat, Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre has been set up as a centre for COVID-19 vaccination. The smoothness of procedures and the use of technology are remarkable at the centre."

Dr Thamra confirmed that the waiting period at the centre is less than 30 minutes, in addition to its huge capacity. "In the Governorate of Muscat, we introduced drive-through vaccination service. The service is currently suspended, but it will be restored next week," Dr Thamra added.
