Muscat: Two agreements have been signed by the Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) to employ more than 55 Omanis as qualified medics on rig sites.
"PDO has signed agreements with two contractors to employ more than 55 Omanis as qualified medics on rig sites," PDO said in a statement.
PDO added that under the terms of the MOCs, PDO will train the nationals who will then secure work with Abraj Energy Services & KCA Deutag on the successful completion of their training. The initiative is part of a wider move to Omanise all rig medical personnel across its entire operations.
