Muscat: Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has signed two agreements for an on-job-training programme in the fields of health, safety and environment to provide 50 job opportunities.
"This programme, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, will benefit graduates in Arabian Industries Projects (AIP) and Special Technical Services (STS)," PDO said in an online statement.
"The agreements will facilitate a six-month programme for graduates with an HSE bachelor’s degree from the Modern College of Business and Science and the International College of Engineering and Management. The programme will follow the OPAL standards."
Participants will be certified by OPAL upon completion of the programme and will be offered employment by contractors, the statement added.
