Muscat: Two million doses of coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Oman from one company before end of August, His Excellency Minister of Health said on Thursday.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi said:”Any vaccination or medical preparation that reaches the Sultanate must meet all standards, which are efficiency and safety.”
His Excellency continued:”There are many criticisms about not bringing specific vaccines but actually some vaccinations do not have any data that they are safe.”
Dr. Al Saeedi confirmed:”A few days ago, the Russian vaccine was approved because we obtained data that confirm its effectiveness, efficiency and safety.”
“Communication continues between the Sultanate and the countries that have vaccine manufacturers.”he added
His excellency expected that two million doses would arrive from one company before the end of August, adding:”I hope they will not break the promise.”
